Up for a challenge? Fifth Friday Trivia launches October 29!

From the team that brings you free Fourth Friday concerts at Guelph Museums, comes virtual Fifth Friday Trivia nights hosted by Jen and Paul Barson.

This husband and wife duo are a highly creative couple and have presented their own successful virtual trivia nights during the pandemic. The Barsons’ fun and engaging format, aligned with the City’s goals to highlight local artistic and historic collections, provides an opportunity for the community to come together digitally to celebrate, learn and grow appreciation for Guelph art and heritage.

The Barsons are eager to share their unique take on trivia, which includes musical and theatrical performances, and welcomes a diverse selection of special guests from the area.

“We started hosting trivia nights at Sip Club in downtown Guelph, but when the pandemic hit, we were forced to host online from home, but eventually needed a break.” explains Paul Barson. “With support from the City, we are excited to welcome back our regular competitors in this new Fifth Friday format, and eager to engage with new teams and players!”

“Guelph is rich with artistic, cultural and historic traditions,” says Tammy Adkin, manager of Museums and Culture for the City of Guelph. “We are excited to work with Paul and Jen to present Guelph-centric, popular trivia for the community to partake in safely from the comfort of their own homes.”

Fifth Friday Trivia kicks off Friday October 29, 2021 at 7 p.m. The night will include three, ten-question, 45 minute rounds with 15 minute breaks in between to tally scores.

“While Fifth Friday Trivia nights are family-friendly, the skill-testing questions will be challenging, and the competition stiff, ” adds Jen Barson.

Space is available for twenty teams (max. 6 people per team) and pre-registration is required.  Participants will require an internet connection, email address, and Facebook access. Teams can register at Eventbrite:https://www.eventbrite.ca/o/guelph-museums-6700601161
