Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Guelph Museums & Culture. We are currently accepting applications for garden volunteers.
Garden Volunteers:
Share your green thumb at McCrae House National Historic Site, 108 Water Street, Guelph. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and connect with local gardeners, while contributing to the community.
Duties: You will be given a small section of garden to tend for the summer.
- Plant your garden area to blend in with the heritage plantings in the surrounding gardens, done in consultation with the garden volunteer coordinator
- Weed, water and tend your garden as needed throughout the growing season
Time commitment: Set a schedule that works best for you. Once you are happy with how your garden is growing you can spend as much or as little time tending to it. If able, participate in the garden opening in the Spring, a garden volunteer tea in August, and a garden closing in the Fall. Dates to be announced.
Apply here. For more information contact Ken Irvine, Education Coordinator at 519-836-1221 extension 2772 or at [email protected]
