Neighbourhood Spirit Walk takes an after-dark twist

Guelph, ON, Wednesday, August 26, 2013: For the first time, the popular Spirit Walk presented by Guelph Museums will happen after sunset, casting new light on this seasoned event.  Beginning at the Civic Museum, the guided walking tour through downtown Guelph is set for Saturday, September 14, with the first tour departing at 6:30 p.m., and subsequent tours beginning each half-hour until the last tour departs at 8:30 pm.

Along the route, participants will encounter characters who helped shape Guelph’s history, including Sister Ramona, the beloved, sneaker-wearing Sister of the Loretto; George Drew, Guelph’s youngest mayor who went on to become Premier of Ontario; and Evan Macdonald, a critically-acclaimed, internationally-recognized artist.

The 90-minute tour will be followed by a reception with cash bar at the Guelph Civic Museum.

Tickets are $20, and must be purchased in advance at TICKETS FOR SPIRIT WALK
