Model aircraft take flight at Guelph Civic Museum

IMG_0993Guelph, ON  July 8, 2013- It’s  All About Model Airplanes  Saturday, July 20 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. at Guelph Civic Museum as the Guelph Gremlins Model Flying Club offers fun and educational activities including model helicopter and turbine engine demonstrations and interactive computer flight simulation.

Flight demonstration will take place on the Museum’s patio at 2:00 and 3:00 pm.

The Guelph Gremlins Model Flying Club has approximately 50 members that share a common interest in flying model aircraft. The goal of the club is to share in the fun and enjoyment of model flying, while constantly learning new things from each other.

All About Model Airplanes coincides with the exhibition of The Avro Arrow: A Dream Denied, a travelling exhibit from the West Parry Sound Museum tracing the remarkable story of the rise and fall of two of Canada’s greatest technological achievements:  the Avro Arrow and Iroquois engine. This exhibition continues at Guelph Civic Museum until July 28th.

Admission:  $4 Adults, $3 Seniors, Students and Children, $10 Family Free for Guelph Museums members.
