In the footsteps of John McCrae tour of France and Belgium

May 27, 2015, GUELPH, ON: Those interested in travelling to France and Belgium and learning about the life and times of Canadian soldier, doctor and poet John McCrae have until June 11 to sign up for the In the Footsteps of John McCrae Tour of France and Belgium.

The trip is being offered by Guelph Museums in partnership with Frederick Travel. It leaves Canada October 2 and returns October 10.

Bev Dietrich, renowned McCrae expert and Guelph Museums curator, will escort the tour group, and provide historical information about John McCrae’s life in France and Belgium during the First World War. Participants will visit important First World War landmarks and historical sites, including the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in Vimy, France, and the In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres, Belgium.

The cost for the trip is $3495 per person based on twin/double occupancy.  A $500 deposit is required at time of booking.
