For the art lover . . .

We sell prints from some of Guelph’s best artists, including . . .

For the perpetually cold . . .

It’s gonna be another chilly winter (at least according to the Farmer’s Almanac). Give the gift of warmth this holiday season with McCrae House delicious, custom-made tea blends.

For the saintly . . .

Do you have someone on your list who has been extra good this year (I mean really good . . .)? They’d probably love our Paint a Saint Workshop.

The workshop is taught by local artist and curator of Saints Preserve Us, Debbie Thompson Wilson. Wilson will teach participants to paint a miniature (3 x 5”) based on a provided historical image, using medieval methods, including gilding with real gold-leaf (everything looks better with gold-leaf). Some watercolour experience is required. The workshop takes place Saturday, March 14. Tickets are $50 + HST. Click here to register.

Looking for a stocking stuffer? We also have pins featuring Debbie Thompson Wilson’s own gold-leaf paintings.

Saint Pin

For the not so saintly . . .

It’s okay to cave in to temptation once in a while! Give a loved one permission to sin against their new year’s resolutions by registering them for An Evening for Chocolate Lovers with Bruce Merritt.

That’s right, Bruce Merritt, of Candies of Merritt, will be here on January 28 to share his chocolate expertise, and guide participants on a night of learning and, more importantly, tasting. Tickets are $45 + HST. Click here to register.
