Construction notice: Museum masonry repairs begin April 16

About the project

The City is starting planned interior and exterior masonry repairs at the Guelph Civic Museum. Programs and activities at the museum will continue with little to no interruption during the work.

Interior repairs first

Scaffolding will be put up around the exterior of the museum starting April 13. Repairs to the interior will begin first, with repairs and re-pointing of the limestone exterior starting later in the spring. All repair work is expected to be complete by the end of 2018.

Museum access and parking

The museum will remain open and accessible throughout construction. There is no anticipated impact on pedestrian access during the renovation project.

Six museum parking spaces will be unavailable while repair work is being done. Visitors are encouraged to use Guelph Transit to visit the museum.

The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this important project. Project details and any updates will be posted on guelph.ca/construction.
