About the exhibitions

Voices of the Engraver explores the creative process, technical skill and sheer artistry that underlies every series of Canadian stamps and bank notes from concept to final product. Reproductions of original art, printing plates, tools, rare stamps, and money provide an informative and enriching look at the beauty and intricacy of Canadian stamps and bank notes.
Produced by the Bank of Canada Museum in partnership with the Canadian Museum of History, the exhibition will be on display at Guelph Civic Museum until September 2.

Cursive: Reading and Writing the Old School Way traces the history of penmanship, from the development of systems of writing by ancient cultures to contemporary questions about the future viability of handwriting. The topic of penmanship has never been more compelling than in the digital age.

Produced by Museum London, and featuring artifacts from the Guelph Museums collection, this exhibition is on display at the Civic Museum until September 2.
