McCrae Puppet TheatreAugust, 7, 2014, Guelph, ON – Old style family fun with a modern twist at McCrae House! Take part in the Victorian era inspired Family Garden Party at the McCrae House on August 14th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. A fun-filled afternoon featuring Victoria Ruth the Magician (2 pm), Pandora’s Sox puppet shows (1:00 and 3:00 pm), The Children’s Art Factory Tea Time activity centre, heritage games, crafts and refreshments.

Garden parties were a popular pastime in early Guelph and the grounds surrounding McCrae House are the perfect setting to carry on this fun tradition. There will also be the opportunity to create and design hand fans, small puppet theatres and to make a sock puppet with the Canadian Embroiders Guild of Guelph.

A garden party would not be complete without refreshments. Enjoy tea and lemonade in our beautiful gardens. All combined, it will be a great day for the whole family!
