Stroll through history at the Woodlawn Spirit Walk

GUELPH, ON, Wednesday, September 7: Guelph Museums will reprise its Spirit Walk at Woodlawn Memorial Park Sunday, September 18 with guided walking tours starting at 1:00 pm.

Participants will encounter interesting spirits such as Walter Buchanan , a founding member of the cemetery commission, Jane Fry ,a noted herbalist, and Alexander Petrie , a druggist and businessman who built the prominent iron-faced Petrie Building.  The stories of these unique characters who helped shape Guelph’s history will be brought to life through theatre and storytelling.

Guided walking tours, which depart from the mausoleum, are 90 minutes in length and begin at 1:00 pm, 1:20 pm, 1:40 pm, 2:00 pm, and 2:20 pm.

Tickets for the Spirit Walk are $20 + HST and should be purchased in advance at www.guelphmuseums.wpengine.com.
