New tea and tour program launches at McCrae House

 June 12, 2015, GUELPH, ON: On June 23, Guelph Museums is launching a new tea and tour program at the recently renovated McCrae House. The teas and tours will take place daily from 2 to 4 pm until the end of August.

Tea will be served in the McCrae House backyard and gardens. Guelph Museums’ two custom blends—McCrae House Private Blend and Guelph Town Garden Blend—will be available, along with scones, cream and fresh fruit.

Before or after tea, participants will have the opportunity to tour the new permanent exhibition installed at McCrae House. The exhibition explores John McCrae’s medical, military and artistic pursuits, and his life in Guelph.

On the following dates, there will be poetry readings during the teas:

July 7 – Bieke Stengos and Michelle McMillan

July 14 – Marianne Micros and Francis Reilly

July 21 – Valerie Senyk and Andrea Perry

July 28 – Michael Kleiza and Jeremy Luke Hill

August 4 – Heather Embree and Paul Hoy

August 11 – Burl Levine and Francis Reilly

August 18 – Bieke Stengos and Michelle McMillan

Tickets are $15 a person and can be purchased at guelphmuseums.wpengine.com.

McCrae House is located at 108 Water Street.
