Lucile: Fashion. Titanic. Scandal closing November 13

GUELPH, ON, November 2, 2016: Lucile: Fashion. Titanic. Scandal is now in its final weeks at Guelph Civic Museum. Sunday, November 13 is the last chance to see Lucile gowns, hats, and lingerie, from private collections and museum vaults from around the world. Since opening in May 2016, visitors have come far and wide to learn about Lucile, Lady Duff Gordon, the girl from Guelph and her remarkable story. Visitation at the Civic Museum has increased 18% during the run of the exhibition.

The exhibition, which explores Lucile’s modest beginnings in Guelph, the growth of her fashion empire, and her survival on the Titanic, is guest curated by author and historian Hugh Brewster. Brewster will host the final segment of the Lucile lecture series, “How a Girl from Guelph Astonished the World” on Sunday, November 13 at 2:00 pm. This event is sold out.

Guelph Civic Museum is located at 52 Norfolk Street. Admission is $5 per person.
