McCrae House summer season launches with funding announcements, poppy plants and a Backyard Theatre preview

GUELPH, ON, May 3, 2017: Poppy Day marks the launch of the summer season at McCrae House, and this year MP Lloyd Longfield and Mayor Cam Guthrie will add to the celebration with a special funding announcement.

McCrae House will open Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The season launch and announcement is set for 11:15 a.m., followed by a brief preview of Guelph in Postcards: The McCrae Years by Jay Wilson, an original production created for Backyard Theatre 2017.

Admission to McCrae House and Flanders corn poppy plants will be available by donation on Poppy Day.
