Moving Histories, Neighbourhood Mysteries

A documentary bus tour of “The Ward”/ Two Rivers Neighbourhood presented in partnership with the Guelph Film Festival , CFRU, and Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition. Saturday, September 29, bus departs Guelph Civic Museum at 1 PM. Limited seating. First come, first on the bus!

Hosted by community story advocate and CFRU Mobile Studio Coordinator Jenny Mitchell, Moving Histories, Neighbourhood Mysteries invites you to step onboard a bus and discover the stories of our neighbourhoods.  Whether you are new to the neighbourhood or an old friend, come join us on the storytelling bus, and see the neighbourhood through the eyes and words of three local storytellers who have called this neighbourhood home.  We have selected three “tour guides” – one who is now a senior who was born and raised in the Ward circa the 1930-50’s, one who is a fourth-generation Ward resident who currently still lives there with her husband and four children, and one who is a teenager who has called the Ward home since birth.  How has this community changed? What are the favourite places? What makes this place home? Moving Histories, Neighbourhood Mysteries celebrates how stories build community, and invites us to share the great things and strange tales about the places we call home.

Culture Days is a nationwide arts and culture movement to raise awareness and engage Canadians in their communities.
