“Guelph Lake dam upgraded.”

The Grand River Conservation Authority increased security measures of the Guelph Lake dam after a break in on October 17, 1996. The GRCA installed sensors, fences, and an alarm to prevent future break-ins and property damages. The GRCA claimed that the implementation of upgraded security measures “significantly reduced” the chances of misuse of the dam.
