Canadian jazz icon Andrew Craig to play free Oh Canada Concert at Guelph Civic Museum

GUELPH, ON, October 23, 2017: Accomplished Canadian musician Andrew Craig and his newest band, ‘AC and Soul Trio,’ will perform at Guelph Civic Museum Friday, October 27 as part of the Fourth Friday Oh Canada Concert series.

With numerous credits in theatre, radio and TV, and proficiency in various music genres including gospel, jazz and rhythm and blues, Craig is a true Renaissance man. He has shared the stage and the studio with some of the biggest names in music, including Molly Johnson, Wynton Marsalis, and Measha Brueggergosman. Craig is also well known as a host and producer on CBC Radio Two’s “In Performance” and “Canada Live”.

Craig’s latest project and new band, AC Soul Trio, released their debut album in September 2017. The trio is composed of Craig on vocals and keyboard, TJ Whitelaw on guitar, and Otis Williams on drums. The sound is a confluence of jazz, funk, R&B, soul, gospel, calypso and reggae influences.

Admission to the Museum is free after 5 PM on Fourth Fridays. The concert begins at 7 PM.

Guelph Civic Museum is located at 52 Norfolk Street.
